Exercise:
Upper thoracic spine whilst standing or sitting,
hands clasped behind the neck,
slowly rotate the torso to the left and then bend briefly to the right.
The same exercise with rotation
and lateral bending to the left
Exercise:
Kneel with elbows and forearms placed on the ground,
allow spine to sag in lordosis
Slow, repeated doming in kyphosis
(horse’s back, cat's hump).
Exercise:
Lower thoracic spine, hands
clasped behind the neck,
move torso from right to left,
whilst keeping the shoulder girdle horizontal.
Exercise:
Kneel with hands placed on the ground,
alternate between hollow back and domed back
(horse’s back, cat's hump).
Exercise:
Upper ribcage
Lift the right arm, bent at the elbow, over the head.
Press the right elbow to the right against the anchoring left hand or the wall.
Inhale deeply several times to raise and lower the ribs in the right rib cage
Exercise:
Lower ribcage
As above, with fixation at the wrist, inhale and exhale several times deep in the right rib cage to raise and lower the ribs
