Initual situation:
Patient complains of pain on the outside of the knee when running.
Examination:
Shows a dysfunction of leg coordination with gluteal muscle weakness and tenderness on the outside of the knee joint and incipient cartilage damage with crepitus.
Therapy:
Manual mobilization and manipulation of the sacroiliac joints, stretching of the posterior thigh muscles and prescription of an auxiliary, self-treatment gymnastics program according to the DKB System (DKB-DVD, DKB-Book, DKB exercise poster).
Results:
After 8 days, marked improvement, at the 14 day follow-up visit the patient was symptom-free. To support cartilage development, the patient undergoes an annual two-month Joint Capsules Plus course.
